windows of perception

I liked the rustic quality of these windows, the contrast to the cityscape of highways and lines designating other constructs of space set up by us in our daily interactions.  The artificial, industrial colors represent  another level of contrast to the muted, natural tones in the photographs.

My focus was on perception and the progressive degrees of separation from the natural world we undergo daily in our activities.  My vision passes through the window (or frame of reference) and marks a reality (one of many), one that will occupy my time and my being, like the bird perched on a telephone line, a place where the natural world and artificial space intersect indefinitely in boundless variety.
